About the Authors
The title of this domain, thaunandshad, is a tribute to a slip (perhaps of the Freudian kind) of a friend who was referring to us and said "Thaun and Shad" instead of "Shaun and Thad." We happen to like the name and that is why we picked this domain.
Thaddeus Winker
Hi, I'm Thad and I am a student at The Catholic University of America in Washington DC where I am pursuing a PhD in Biblical Studies. I graduated in May of 2010 from the Honors Bachelors of Arts program at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Right now my primary interests in academics include Classical Latin, Attic and Koine Greek, Biblical Hebrew, Pauline texts, sexual morality, and Early Christian writers. I have developed a profound fascination with the Lord's Prayer and the Eucharist.
I've always been a bit of a tech geek and I'm proud of it. I built my current computer from parts bought online and I idle away my time by taking apart various junk electronics including a blackberry and DVD drives. I was introduced to PC games at the age of ten by the classic first person shooter Duke Nukem 3D and enjoy trying out new games when I have time between classes and other obligations.
I enjoy irony perhaps more than I should and good (or bad) jokes. I read the news everyday and look forward to the coming nuclear/zombie/velociraptor apocalypse.
Shaun Bittick
My name is Shaun Bittick. Most who know me came up with the most ridiculous nick name for me. It is my name with the word "The" in front of it. I assume it is because I come with unexplained popularity. It does not make sense, but I go with it.
Anyways. I grew up in St. Louis up until I turned thirteen. We moved to Alabama for a year. And low and behold St. Louis had not loosened it's grip on my throat. I hear people with so many reasons to leave here. Myself included. But to my fortune something always keeps me here. There is no real reason to get into why, but most of my youth was riddled with insecurity and plagued with my anti-social nature. Fortunately placed in my path were many amazing people. The first being Thad. Many followed. And they together helped form the sarcastic, confident, social powerhouse that is me. I would say that I am challenged day in and day out. Most of the time it is testing my natural intelligence and gift with words. I feel I overcome them most days. Which is one of the reasons I was willing to do this blog with Thad. I think he would agree that we have complimentary gifts and intelligence that raise the other up in our times of most dyer need. So now I hope to share thoughts with you that will either stir your soul or get you thinking the other way and challenge me. I look for growth just as much now as I did before. So I am always willing to hear an argument.
